About Rocksino by Hard Rock Deadwood

Rocksino by Hard Rock Deadwood is a unique and exciting experience, bringing the world-class entertainment of Hard Rock International to the historic city of Deadwood in the heart of the Black Hills National Forest. Featuring a boutique hotel and casino, Rocksino Deadwood is the perfect place to experience the unique Hard Rock brand.

Rocksino by Hard Rock Deadwood will have an historical ambience. It is located on historic Main Street in downtown Deadwood, SD, a town listed as a National Historic Landmark District. As such, the renovation of this property adheres to all requirements of the Department of Interior's guidelines for buildings located within the District.

In 1989, Deadwood became only the third jurisdiction in the U.S. to allow legalized gaming, behind Atlantic City, NJ, and the state of Nevada. While gaming has proliferated throughout the United States since then, Deadwood remains true to its intent to use gaming to draw visitors, as well as to fund historic preservation efforts.

Since its introduction, gaming has fueled more than $350 million in historic preservation projects in a town with just over 1,000 residents. Today, an estimated 2 million visitors travel to this unique community in the highest reaches of the Black Hills of South Dakota.
